Jaggery is a traditional accompaniment to Indian meals and is also used for the preparation of various sweet dishes (instead of Sugar). It has tremendous Medicinal importance. Ayurveda has suggested Jaggery as daily health, nutritional and supplementary food and has suggested Medicinal use of Jaggery to purify the blood, and as a protective agent for lungs from polluted air, also regulates liver function and keeps the body healthy and strong from within. It is advised for all age groups.
